Das soziale Kaufhaus  ist eine ökumenische Einrichtung des Diakonischen Werks in Stadt und Landkreis Osnabrück und der Caritas-Arbeits- und Dienstleistungsgesellschaft.Hier kann man Bekleidung, Haushaltsartikel, Spielzeug und vieles mehr erwerben.Das Angebot richtet sich an alle Bürger.Die  Meinung, dass man Bedürftigen etwas weg kauft, ist übrigens nicht richtig.Der Slogan:  Wir sind  für alle da,wird  hier gelebt.Menschen mit geringem  Einkommen, Hartz 4 Empfänger, Aufstocker und Asylsuchende erhalten aber 25% Rabatt.Das Konzept des Kaufhauses ist nach einem Dreisäulenmodell aufgebaut:Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit der MaßArbeit finden 12 langzeitarbeitslose Menschen hier eine Beschäftigung.Menschen mit mehr Geld und Menschen mit sehr wenig Geld, können hier gemeinsam einkaufen und ins Gespräch kommen.Ökologisch ist es sehr sinnvoll, dass Waren, die sauber und gut sind, nicht in den Müll wandern, sondern bei einem Neuen Besitzer weiterleben.Gern nimmt das Soziale Kaufhaus Waren-  aber auch Geldspenden - an, damit das Angebot weiterhin aufrechterhalten werden kann.
