On the occasion of their 50th anniversary, Modus entrusted us with designing the cover of their new catalogue.We were honored and glad to take on the challenge.The finished design plays with the contrast of consistency and flexibility that’s made Modus so successful over the years, without coming across as overly grand.The 50 variations of the logo’s geometric elements came together in a harmonic composition: 50 years of Modus.Website In June 2012, the new Modus website went live – Heine/Lenz/Zizka was responsible for its concept, design, text, videos, and programming.For us, it was important to present Modus as self-assured but also reserved, to showcase it as a presentation platform for design products and design teams while also giving expression to the longevity of the firm, which has been in existence since 1964.Modus advises, plans, helps customers furnish their spaces, and actively contributes to the design conversation with in-store exhibitions as well as with publications in a magazine-like blog.

Im ersten Halbjahr haben die M�belimporte vor allem aus Asien deutlich zugenommen.Die Einfuhren aus China stiegen um ein Viertel.Importe aus Vietnam erzielten ein Plus von fast einem Drittel.„Es entwickelt sich eine Art Wanderzirkus des M�belhandels, der schon seit l�ngerem Ost- und S�dosteuropa im Fokus hatte und mittlerweile im noch billigeren Ostasien angekommen ist“, sagt Schramm.Wichtigstes Herkunftsland f�r Importe ist zwar weiterhin Polen.Mit M�belexporten nach Deutschland im Wert von gut einer Milliarde Euro liegt China jedoch bereits auf dem zweiten Platz.Auf der Suche nach g�nstigen Angeboten schauen sich M�belh�ndler auch im Ausland um.L�ngst geht es bei Importen nicht nur um Kleinm�bel wie Teetische oder Spiegel.„Auch in den traditionell von deutschen Herstellern stark besetzten Segmenten entsteht Konkurrenz“, beklagt Schramm.Wichtige Umsatzst�tze der deutschen Hersteller waren auch in den vergangenen Monaten die M�bel-Ausfuhren.In den ersten sechs Monaten des Jahres kletterten die Exporte um 4,4 Prozent auf 4,93 Milliarden Euro.
