I think the only time the movie didn’t was when they hit the power/stand by switch on the side of the monitor, which is fine.It’s nice to have a way to reset the DVD without opening the player.Portability: We changed the configuration of the DVD player set up a few times.möbel ekomiHaving the player right in front of the toddler meant he could throw things at it, and he could kick the cord and cause the secondary screen to go black.We slipped it off of one head rest and put it on the other.You don’t need to remove the velcro, just slide the whole thing up and off.I appreciate how convenient this was while driving.Cord lengths: First concern was “how many cords are we going to have hanging between our seats, and near our toddler?” But this player only has 2 cord: 1 to a cigarette lighter for power, and 1 between the two screens (maybe 3 feet long?).Because we were putting these screens in 2 separate rows, we had to move seats closer together so that the included USB cable would stretch from screen to screen.

Then I had to make sure the primary screen was close enough to a cigarette lighter to plug in to the power.This whole thing was a headache until I bought a 6 foot usb to usb cable C2G 54171 USB 3.0 A Male to A Male Cable 6.5 Feet (2 Meters) - Black, which solved all the cord length issues!Skipping: The first trip we took was to Columbus where we found that the (scratch free) dvd was constantly skipping when we came across bumpy roads.I was frustrated because I feel like technology would surely be able to handle bumpy roads by 2016, and I was even tempted to return the player.However, on the next 10+ hour (each way) drive, we only had a couple of skips on the movies we watched.Volume: It’s a little on the quiet side when you’re playing a movie in a van full of 7 people.The kids didn’t complain, but I would prefer it to be a little louder.You also cannot adjust volume from the remote, so you need to have someone who can find the volume button (On the back of the device almost against the head rest), sitting near it.Overall, this player is worth the price.
